Damn. I just looked on the website and it says:

A Superior Court has suspended operation of the Auto Club Dragway. The suspension results from a successful challenge of a San Bernardino County sound standard by a group of concerned residents. San Bernardino County officials had approved an amendment to the County Sound Standard in 2010 to accommodate louder sound arising from races at the Dragway. The Superior Court found that the underlying Environmental Impact Report which the County relied on to approve the sound standard amendment was not sufficient.

We are currently reviewing the court ruling and evaluating our options moving forward. We hope to have more detailed information about our future operations at the Dragway soon.

That sucks! Didn't even know about it.

Definitely sucks. I think the closest track now is Qualcomm, lol. Too bad it's not a 1/4mi.

It's def not a 1/4 mile, but the good thing is, you can do as many runs as you want. I think me and Herrschaft would do about 30+ runs in one night. More if we didn't sit around and hotlap.

More practice off the line and you can pick who you want to race.

LOL!

Even if you get there by 8-8:30, you'll still be able to do a crapload of runs. Hell I didn't get there till about 9 and and did about 20 runs. After 11, you can hotlap all you want. People start to leave around that time.

If you ever have a day off, hit up the SD folks. Andy(Bluebat) and the SD folks are doing a cruise on the 29th. http://www.cargathering.com/forum/showthread.php?t=996

Wish I could go, but I'm too far away.

The only downside with Qualcomm is the unprepped parking lot they call a track, so obviously traction is nonexistent. But, I heard rumors that they may be shutting down soon due to lack of funding.

^ LOL, parking lot... Man, SoCal's gonna see a rise in street racing with all the tracks shutting down.

Do you SD guys still do a track night at Qualcomm? I could go if it's like on a Friday or something.

^I just got moved to 29 Palms and Jairen is on another continent so we won't be going anymore. There's very few G's that actually go from SD. The races are on every other Friday from 6pm-12am.

And I agree with the increase in street racing, I doubt CA will care since it means more revenue from traffic tickets.

After some intensive research today. I decided to pull the trigger on the ART's. Thanks

Yeah Friday's it is. the schedule is here:

April 6th and 20th
May 4th and 18th
June 15th and 29th
http://racelegal.com/race-schedule/

The video links are in my sig if you want to see me and Herrschaft at that track.

Would have loved to get some video of your car but, I won't be back for a couple of years. I've put drag racing on hold and getting the car set-up for circuit tracks. I moved to Europe and I'll be at the Nurburgring in the summer/fall.

nice build, mine turned out nearly the same as yours. I'm also in the process of fitting a better filter on the vortech, the stock one is pretty bad. I found out at a dyno day last weekend that a dirty stock vortech filter vs no filter at all was worth 33hp...

I've got a 2.87 pulley that I've considered installing, how do you like yours? I'm thinking about waiting until I have my fuel return done before I do the smaller pulley just to keep things safe since I track my car and don't need anything blowing up on me

Thanks! Haha, I'm not too surprised, the stock filter is pretty small and gets dirty quickly.

I'm really enjoying the smaller pulley. It goes into boost much quicker than before, the power is just there all the time whenever I want it. Very fun.
