The only reason why it has the highest failure rate is because its the cheapest, which means the people with the tightest budget buy it, and cut corners on the install, which then leads to failures.

If anyone had 3 fail, they probably had a poor oil return setup, or were running them out of their range of efficiency.

Yes, we all know it does have the power potential as others, but 500+ whp isn't what everyone wants.

The OP was asking about kit issues I have heard of turbo failures, welds breaking and even guys having to modify piping to get the kit to fit(that thread is on the first page of the FI section) engines blowing due to the poor tuning solution provided and AC lines failing. So to tell him the kit is great with no issues is not helping him.

I have heard of lots of guys happy with the kit after sorting the issues out, but if it was me I would want to know about the issues before buying the kit not buy it and fine out about increased costs to fix the issues.

To answer the question, the majority of the FI vets will list this kit at the bottom of kits they would buy. It would also be at the top of the list for the highest probability of issues of all of the kits available.

Go start this thread on my350z to get more info. That site has a lot more guys running FI kits of all types and far superior forced induction knowledge base compared to this forum.

i have a turboneticsw kit on my 03 g coupe and had a few issues with my kit in the beggining, if you go with a piggy back or an up rev tune u can avoid some issues and make good power, Im making over 500whp with my kit, i changed the trubo for a garret gt35r and have a uprev tune,

I still own my TN kit, but only like it after I have spent money to make it right. I have replaced the turbo 3 times. Turbonetics owned up to it and rebuilt it three times. The 2nd and 3rd time it failed upon install. I have ran UpRev with it since the beginning with 6-8lbs of boost. After replacing the turbo with a garrett, fixed cracked pipes, fixed broken turbo mounts which caused several a/c lines replacements due to movement and finally heat wrapping everything....I am happy with the kit. If I had to do it again, I would buy quality such as the momentum motorsports ST kit and do it right from the beginning. If you want to fix a low quality kit, this is your kit. If you find one reworked already, you will find a solid kit!
Good luck with all you are doing and in finding the answer to your search bro!
