2005: Why does Vortech S/C say to change FMU 7:1 to 6:1 in this year only

What is different on the 2005 G35 that in the Vortech S/C installation manual, it tells you to change the 7:1 disc(s) in the FMU to the 6:1?

I actually called Vortech today for troubleshooting purposes and the guy told me I should have a 4:1.
