PS: I didnt hear about the dyno...I will be in town..I'll try to stop by..
can you PM me the details or email me

Wow, I really apprciate the warm welcome!
Clint, thanks for linking some of the pics. I was so worried while driving my car prior to the build up at 8.5psi....but when they disassembled the motor, we discovered that everything was in EXCELLENT condition. The bearings look almost new, and the pistons show no signs of unusual activities or detonation. The front crank bearing was the only one that was slighly scarred, probably a result of the extra weight and stress of the crank pully and accessories.
I'll make sure to post up more updates the motor goes back together. I am leaving town for a week, but when I come back, the engine should be fully assembled.
And although there are no planned GB's on the pistons and rods, and I can still get them if anyone needs anything.

I dont think I need to go 8 or 9 to 1. I can only spin this S/C up to about 10 pounds(unless I buy an M90 S/C which could run maybe 15 pounds). 10 lbs + a 75 shot should be plenty. And yes, when I use nitrous I run at least a mix of race gas with my 91octane.Other then that 91 should be fine. I tried out a 10 pounder last night...wow..thats all I can say. First few runs were fine, then the ECU started sensing nock.I just need to add a larger injector and tune this thing(The Split Second R4 software wasnt working right so I went back to the 7lb)
I may get into the 9.5-10:1 range of piston but then I'd lose power.
There is no need to lower compression in every case.Read Corky Bell's "Supercharged".
You know, I have a smog approval sticker that I need to use in another year and a half. I dont think having low compression is going to help at all
Sorry for jackin the thread
Feel free to fill me in on any input.I'm always down to learn more

Wes... I thought that you were dumping the STillen for a turbo setup... In your case, yes, 10:1 may be ok.. However, I'd still be very careful, as you have a posittive displacement SC, and the boost somes in very early, just like a turbo... So, you are subect to the same 'super careful tuning' requirement as the turbos. Unlike this, Vortech/ATI build boost in a linear fashion, so you won't get your 10psi does at 3500 rpm..
If I were you, I would seriously consider selling the Stillen, and going with an APS single turbo or smth, and lower compression. This way, you will not just spend thousands on a build engine with high compression and can only run a supercharger on it.. Just my $.02

looks like your on your way to a nice setup man. I've already done the bottom end build up and am sitting at 7 psi 470 rwhp with the greddy tt setup. I'm running lean at 8 psi though. Have you thought about changing injectors or a fuel system yet? Thats my next step and I'de be interested to know how people are doing it.
Thinking of 2 720's directly into the intake with a seperate fuel reg.
