WIll OBDII readings suffice for AFR readings if upstream sensors are Wideband?
WIll OBDII readings suffice for AFR readings if upstream sensors are Wideband?
I have an 2006 Infiniti M35 I am considering supercharging to attain up to 400whp max but not anytime soon, just researching all my options. From what I researched the oem upstream o2 sensors are 6 prong and are wideband. I gathered that these are necessary for accurate AFR ratio readings which is why many weld a bung to hold a wideband before the cat. However in my case the car already comes with wideband sensors, so would it be possible to get an accurate reading from an OBDII reader (specifically the ones you operate via bluetooth+phone) and read the AFRs through there?
