Reviews/Comments on Stillen Stage 2 for Coupe

I've been seriously looking at the Stillen Stage II SC for my '04 AT coupe. I plan on adding in the warranty they provide, getting the full fiberglass hood, etc. Would/should I also be looking at their headers and cat back as well? Also- for those of you with the Stillen, would you recommend it to someone else? I know I'd be happy with the additional 70 hp (I'm too old for racing either on the street or the track!) How secure are you with the additional stress it puts on the engine? I know there will be some additional wear over a NA VQ but I don't want to be replacing the engine at 50k miles either. Has anyone had the Stillen installed for a long time then had a compression check done on their pistons to check for wear?

I really want to do this, but after reading about all the blown motors on My350z I'm a little nervous about going FI.

Thanks for your comments and input!

Hey guys,
I have had the Sillen SC for about 16000 miles, 42000 miles total. The low end TQ is awesome.
At first, I bought the kit with the warranty but soon after I tossed it out the window by installing the 7lb pulley.
After that, I still wanted more power so I added a 55 shot of nitrous.
It really kicks a$$ now BUT.....
You know where I'm going with this..... Right?
Now, I'm planning on building the engine this summer so I can run this thing at 10 pounds with a 100 shot!!

I would recommend this kit to anyone with a tight budget because you can upgrade little peices at a time.
You shouldn't worry about blowing anything with only 5 lbs of boost. Your engine should hold up for a good 70-100k miles boosted. Who knows, maybe more maybe less. It all depends on your driving habits.
I have not checked my compression.I have a tester, I just don't want to see the results because I've beat the hell out of this car and I wouldn't be surprised if I lost some compression I have been burning a little oil recently but come on, look at All of my mods! That should be enough proof that I drive this car like I stole it

Money wise: If I had the money, I'd have the APS kit. Truthfully $13000-14000 installed and tuned is way out of my range.
****. For that price, I'll have a built motor, a Stillen s/c,exhaust,hood & bumper(painted) WITH nitrous. Oh yeah, and 500hp & 500tq from 1500rpm

Anyways, don't be scurred JUST DO IT . If you're on these forums learning with the rest of us you're def not too old,or are you(isn't it time for that midlife crisis splurg) J/k

This game/hobbie is very addictive.I suggest doing a family background search for any drug abusers to see if you might have inhearited one of their traits FIRST. haha

No,really. PACE YOURSELF, one thing at a time.Ahh, If you have the $$ go buy the APS & build your engine.
that's it...............

Ditto! I don't have a stillen, but if you have the money go TT and build the motor......I gaurantee you will want more power after you taste it. I am desperately feening for a 650whp beast only 3 weeks after my s/c install. I am almost ready to go sell my **** in order to come up with the money.
