I was down in San Jose at Zcargarage getting their custom midpipe and hotchkis sways installed. Rob offered a ride in one of their customers 350z with a APS twin turbo kit which is running 9psi with a cam. He stated it had stock internals and it dynoed at 450 to the wheels. While my G35 Sedan is nearly stock, my last car was a 300zx twin turbo and I was running 17psi on stock turbos with larger injectors. It was a stage 7 car. All I have to say is that this car would have blown the Z32 out of the water.
The driving impression while under 3500 rpms felt very close to stock even with the cam. As soon as he opened her up memories of turbo power quickly came back but with so much more forward thrust.
This was an eye opening experience and it now has me considering FI for my Auto Sedan. Reliability is a high priority, lets wait and see how the cars hold up after 20-30k miles.
what a rush

Hey Wrah,
17psi isn't so bad on the older Zs. Stock is like 9psi. just with a chip, intake, and exhaust along with a clutch that can hold the power you can safely go to 14psi. 17psi was the max i ran with the 555 injectors.
Kpierson..sounds tempting I very well may do it, but i would like to think i would be more than happy with 350rwhp and tuned properly and the car would be reliable. Meaning get 100k out of the motor without a rebuild. With so many new kits coming to the market and very few autos out there, I do not have the time nor the unlimited bank account to be one of the pioneers.
But to all those of you who have already gone FI, hats tipped off to you.
