Concerns about APS ST kit

I love the simplicity of this kit...I am just worried about where the turbo sits on this car. Its sits very low nd right next to the transmition. I live in Miami fl, where it does rain. What will happen to the turbo when it gets splashed with a puddle? or what happens with the tranny flexes and hits the turbo..I love this kit cause it keeps the stock hearders and its at a good proce. I just want to be reassured that nothing is going to happen with the turbo sitting right there.

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

If you'd check out that other Z forum then you'd get these concerns addressed. Everything you're asking has been covered on the APS/GB thread.

There isn't a premier membership over there? I think you're looking at the wrong forum. I'm not sure if I can post which one without getting this thread deleted.

I'd go APS, the quality seems better based on other's experiences with their TT. Plus if you can go for it today you might be able to get in on the GB for the free plenum. I'm so glad I went for this!

The APS single turbo is well protected and has been put through 10,000 miles of very tough testing over the last 6 months without any problem, over very rough roads and in extremely harsh environmental conditions.

I've driven over plenty of snow covered roads with quite deep water puddles and other than getting the car filthy the car handles these conditions with ease, well it does slide around a bit though, hell that's half the fun.

I can't imagine how this could happen unless you broke the gearbox housing which is highly unlikely, I've never seen this happen in my 30 years of working on cars. The turbo is well protected by a steel shield and is above cross member height so unless you have a big crash I can't see how the turbo could ever be damaged .

Peter,
Im considering building-up my engine first before installing the APS TT kit. Build bottom-end only. Where and how do I go about upgrading the fuel system and actuators for the APS kit. Will APS dealers have access to those parts needed. Want to be able to boost up to 16psi. Also will the APS Plenum fit under the G35 hood without the High Rise strut brace required to fit the Z's.
