Forced Induction Prices
Forced Induction Prices
Hey guys, do you guys mind posting up how much you paid for your fi kits. Im looking at the Greddy TT Kit, the APS Single or Twin, and the Votech Super Charger. Can you tell me the prices on all those kids, and where I can buy them at the best deal? Thanks guys so much! What is the difference in power btw.
For either of the twin turbo kits you are looking at about $12K installed with gauges. The APS TT comes complete out of the box and with the Greddy you will need to buy parts to make it complete (fuel return, fuel pump, BOV, CAS, timming harness, map pressure harness).
What are your power goals? Also Turbonetics is coming out with a single turbo for the G very soon.

Well for APS my good friend actually grew up witht he owner of APS so I would get good pricing on it and I would have it installed for free, so would you know how much it would cost for the kit. Like how much do they retail their kit at to the public? I wish I could afford the twin turbo, its just too expensive for me. The single is what I want. What is the difference btw between the APS and the Turbonetics?
Both kits are putting out about the same power (380whp) out of the box. Beside the price (turbonetics being about $1000 less) the APS is more complete. It brings a fuel return system and an larger oil pan. I know the APS uses Garrett ball bearing turbos in their kit but not too sure what kind the turbonetics uses.

145 HP at the wheels? Are you certain? Or is that at the crank?
If it is indeed the case, that is a nice increase indeed!
The thing I like about the Vortech is that I don't have to buy any new hoods/front bumpers like I would for a Stillen Stage 2. I'm all about my car being a sleeper.
Also, I heard that you dod not have to do any mods to the internals and that the boost is relatively safe. Is this true?

Install = $2500-$3000
Gauges = They ain't free (wide band is $500, fuel pressure, boost, egt, $400)
Gauge install = $200 or so
The above comes to $11,600 and the other $400 is for other **** that always comes up (new belts, gaskets, oil, etc.).
This does not even inlcude exhaust or test pipe/hf cats.

Thanks for the info, Randy! Anyway, I did some reading up on the Vortech and I found out that the SC is to be used with the 6MT only. How come you can't use the SC for an auto?

Some people that went with test pipes with a vortech lost boost because less back pressure but made more hp. When I had my vortech I had test pipes but I did not loose any boost.
