Im about to buy the vortech supercharger. i currently have the popcharger and ztube, kinetix racing plenum and cats, and tien springs. i have been talking to some people and they say i may blow the auto transmission. So i figured y not check with you guys. please respond asap

 

I have not heard of any 5ATs with blown trannys caused by a SC kit. There have been some 5ATs ( G's and Z's ) with damaged tranny's, but they had TT kits. Possibly caused by the higher torque power you get from the TwinTurbo kits. Some suggestions if you go FI, is to get a ValveBody upgrade (for smoother shifts ) and your tranny will handle some extra torque power, TC upgrade ( for quicker shifts ), and the Technosquare " limited flash ", will raise rev limiter, and should help shift before hitting rev limiter and WOT. Also some will reccomend a tranny cooler.

If I were you I'd get the valve body upgrade from Stillen along with there tranny cooler (or get a tranny cooler kit that's universal and adapt it). I've heard horror stories about "Level 10" doing tranny work. Steer clear!
