His rod end bearings went on Cylinder #6 and chewed up the crank shaft pretty bad. There currently is no company that makes an oversized bearing to aloow for machining of the crank shaft. His crank shaft is basically thrashed from the rod slapping around on it after the bearing sheared apart.

Hey Jimmy - I couldn't help but notice in your install pics that there were chunks of metal already in your oil pan before installing the turbo. Is there anyway to tell if the motor was already on its way out prior to the APS being installed? That would probably freak a few folks out that a stock 05 motor with low miles could have that problem. I think Ducatiguy had the same issue if I'm not mistaken on his stock 03 motor.

So aside from that theory what is the real theory on the motor? It's promising to see a car with a couple thousand miles blow with the APS TT.

Was boost up too high? Running lean? What were the conditions and...well...why?

Low oil was the issue on Para's car. He was 2 Quarts low.

The facts are....
We had to add almost 3 qts of oil to the engine when we got it.The failure was most likely to lack of oil.It is unknown what conditions contributed to the low oil level in the first place.Perhaps sustained detonation from such a lean tune. Or perhaps the overrevving of 7400 rpms on a stock TT motor. This is one reason I do not like reflashes and dissagree with the raising of the revlimiter on a stock motor. these are not theories..

The actuators...I will know if they work in my car this week
If you went to AAM they reflashed your ecu most likely..
The radiator is a good idea but its a pain in the *** to install!!!
Oil cooler couldnt HURT you any,but wont be needed unless your doing auto cross or open lapping at a race track..
