Anyone had any success or even experiences against the newer body E55 AMG?

One of my friends just got one, and I'm tempted to go FI just so I can beat him. The coupe grand I spend would be priceless to see his expression after he's had his *** handed to him.

isn't going FI more like a 6-8k venture and not "a couple grand"?

Depends on whether you do it yourself or not.

Ok, fine...Let's say you drop the 8K on a TT setup.

Have any of you guys had any real world experiences with E55 AMG"S?

I have beet 2 e55 AMG's but from a roll in 2nd. I do not know how I would do from a start. The E55 has incredible traction from the launch. The tires barely slip from take off. M3's,SRT's,Cobra's, WS6's

Yeah the E55 AMG has a lot of power but that thing weighs a ton. LOL. Plus it's not as intimidating when you think that the numbers on them are at the crank. When they say "we are real fast....450 hp" What they are really saying is, "God I hope I don't go up against something that ACTUALLY HAS 450 hp, cuz I am going to get my a$$ handed to me."

i visited that violent racing team's website. wow, they do some AMAZING sh*t. if i had the money to spend and my g was a project car, i'd be going there to see what could be done.... very impressive!

too bad my g is my daily driver and i don't have 5-10g's to spend on FI

Ok I'll chime in. (Vortech)

Ford Lightning - Aftermarket exhaust (all that I could tell)

From a stop he got about a 1/2 car jump and by the end of 3rd gear I could see him in my sideview mirror.

btw, I was absolutely murdered by an EVO VIII at the drag strip. Even though my trap was higher I could not compete with a 1.7" 60' time.

Chops,

Catch him on a roll and it'll be a different story and yes without DR we can't compete with a 1.7 60'.
