FMIC + Water + Dirt + Rocks....
How does a FMIC hold up to being driven in weather like heavy rain? I know puddles wouldn't be a great idea... How about rocks, will the fins get bent up too bad if there is no mesh grill left in the bumper? Do you have to worry about alot of sand getting into it?
Its not daily driven... but when it is I'm sure I'll get stuck in some situations...
Thanks.

I'd put a grill on it just to cover it up from leaves etc from getting stuck on it.
What you can do to protect it from that type of stuff is spray some WD40 on it. It will prevent the IC from oxidizing.. and also give a nice layer of lube to hold all the gunk.. so when you clean your car.. you just hose the intercooler down.. then you can just spray some more on!
