If your car wieghed 1500lb's [ the Wt. of the roller ] ...a Dynojet may be closer to being right .

And to be honest IMPO . The Z and G are over rated as far as HP numbers put out by Nissan

Do you have boost and wideband A/F gauges? I think those are essential for safe FI. If there's a boost leak, you'll know it immediately. If you're dipping below 11 on A/F on WOT, your tune isn't optimized. Presumably, you got these numbers during the dyno session, but real world numbers on the street are more valuable in my opinion--plus, these gauges will enable you to check the tune done by the tuners to be sure it's correct.

When I first put my Vortech on, the power just wasn't there. My boost gauge showed I wasn't getting above 4 PSI. Turned out my BOV was leaking. Changing that out corrected everything and when I dyno'd, it was 380 RWHP out of the box before tuning (Dynapack). Dynapak probably runs about 15-20% higher than a Mustang but is more accurate because it eliminates the tire traction factor by bolting directly onto the wheels.

This isn't true.

I agree with you, no dyno is TRUE street numbers, a dyno is the same as a scale you weigh yourself on. If you weigh yourself at home and your 220 and at the GYM your 215 you cant say which is accurate, because ever scale will be a tiny bit different most likely. What you do is, you say to yourself "OK I wanna lose 30 lbs" and you stick with the same scale so you can see the difference. If I supercharged my G and i was getting it dyno tuned, i wouldnt care if the car baselined at 100whp, as long as it gained 20, 30, xx.... whp i'd be satisfied. I mean assuming nothing is wrong and the car is pulling hard.

A drum dyno just measures the drum speed changes every 1/100 of a second and use a math formula to arrive at some imaginary torque/hp numbers.

The weight/diameter of the drum is all that counts in accelerating it.

The mustang has a programmable brake to retard the acceleration to duplicate real world conditions.

Use a stopwatch to time accelerations on the two and set the brake to duplicate real world times considering wind resistance.
