^ another VERY cool set up! Did you do the custom stuf yourself? I really like the angle of the gauges and the placement.

No, I took PVC and molded it to the ash tray area with glue to fit the gauges. I angled them slightly up and towards the driver. My audio shop did the bondo and finishing work.

How hard was it to do that? If you have a boost gauge or Zeitronix out when you get pulled over here in CA, you will get busted for sure if the FI unit doesn't have CARB approval.

I'll be building a video gauge display that integrates with the nav screen.

now THAT would be something to see! if it could show the same readouts as the Zeitronix (boost, AFR, EGT) i would get 1 in a heartbeat

Decoding the Nissan datastream would be out the scope of the project (that's UpRev's business). It will just be an analog input box that takes sensor data and generates a video gauge display that can be spliced in to the nav display just like DVD video. Any sensor that outputs a meaningful analog voltage could be easily displayed.

You can get AFR with CIPHER (2004.5 and up have wideband O2 sensors) but no way to get boost, EGT obviously...

I would imagine it would integrate with the composite video input of the Xenarc screens also, yes? Could use one of the alternate video inputs?

I love your setup. It kind of reminds me of the Z. I like how the Z angles them toward the driver. I wonder if anyone can figure out a way to do it like this.

Yeah it would generate a composite video source, so any screen capable of displaying that would work.

from what i hear..... probably just the boost gauge if needed..... i am in the same situation right now.... but since our boost only hits up around 4-8 psi, none of the gauges out there really meets our need... is there an electronic one that works really well............ anyone?
