Stillen On! Ready for take off!

My felloweer G'ers,
Just got back from Performance Nissan...... The Stillen is a BLAST..... very smooth linear power until 5500 RPM....... The car takes off like a rocket on the low end/mid end range......... And the Whine is like a jet warming up,,,, everytime i hear it, i just want to press on the gas pedal more! moRE! MORE!
I just have one question who has had the Stillen placed in, do you guys have that really strong gas smell? B/C my car smells like gas is everywhere!!!!!!! it's making me a little notcious!!! Is this the break in period? or is there a break in period that i need to be aware of? Chime in and let me know please......

Congrats on the install. I don't have a supercharger, but I've been researching it. Fuel smell in any car is not normal. Take it back to the shop as soon as possible and have them check the fuel lines and injectors. My guess would be an improperly installed seal on the 7th injector installed with the kit. You really don't want to be driving around with a fuel leak unless you like the idea of a mobile marshmallow roaster.

Hey,

Congrats...Its fun isn't it. I just tightened up my shocks and have been having a blast getting the A$$ out in mine. Do you have plans to upgrade to stage 4?
Stage 2-3 was a nice improvement, I wonder what 4 feels like...

It is NOT normal to have gas smelling. The first time I started mine, I had a gas leak. The o-ring was torn on the fuel rail. You should check to see if you have any gas leaks. Check behind the charger where the two black extenders connect to the the stock fuel rail. Get this taken care of before you go out having fun with it

enjoy.

good to see it's getting taking cared of........the thought of a gas leak, no matter how small, under the hood isn't good, period.

Do all infiniti or nissan dealers offer this? Did you buy the SC kit from them?

There are very few Infiniti/Nissan dealers that do FI installs. Grubbs here in North Texas is one of them and I've also heard about Performance Nissan. You should be able to find valuable information here about a dealership in your neck of the woods that might do this.

from what i know.... i only know of 2... performance nissan in southern california and the one in boulder colorado. i think you need to go to a nissan dealer that does aftermarket upgreades... if not, they're not too friendly when it comes to mods...... they're more inclined to void your warr........

you know, stillen was my first option, but performance gave me a great deal on the sc, and i rather just go through one place rather then jump all over the place. in addition to that, future purhase will be better and cheaper for me once you establish a working relationship with a single place.......so i hope.... well i was told that if i end up getting the stage 4, i can get it at a discount......
stillen on the other hand........ well, they quoted me one thing, and when i was about to finalized the deal, they changed it and stated that they'll give me crediti for something else... then when i choose something of the same value, they said they can't.... example, stilen quoted me $6835 for the stage 2, install included, warr. and hood. the day i was going to buy the stillen, the guy told me, well, this is NOW the best i can do, and it turned out to be $7285....WTF! he then told me that they'll give me "FREE ROTORS", whatever....... and when i said i didn't want the rotors, i'll take the Front Fascia instead, they told me i would have to pay the difference of $400.... (let me remind you,,,,,, rotors "free" = $495 (for both), front fascia ($695)).....only a $200 difference, but they wanted $4o0......so i told them to take a hike...... I dont like stillen, love their supercharger and products, but i don't like the way they do bussiness.....
