Good numbers. But, some people have stated that's Church's dyno's are shady and they exaggerate the numbers in order to bring in business.

Is the red line before the tune? If so, it seems wierd that the Vortech was making a peak of 400whp right out of the box. They usually make 330whp out of the box with the pig-rich fuel map.

Anyways, how was Chad?

Just wondering and not flaming, those numbers are kinda high for a vortech. What is your setup?

Makes more sense, but didn't neffster have around 380whp tuned by CPRace? I don't know how they got almost 50whp more.

neff's tune

hmm. dont know. honestly. but neff said to me when he sold me the kit that he had a header leak when he tuned it, so that i should have expected more, that might have hurt the #'s. my boost was constant throughout the whole tunning, belts didnt slip, everything went smooth, but the #'s are #'s. it honestly feels like whole new machine. pulls hard all the way through. thanks again to chad, he did a kick *** job on my car, treated it as if was his own, i was able to see everything he did, he is more than well prepared to take care of any installs. hit em up. i know i saved plenty going through him.

Dont those graphs say "fly wheel power" and "fly wheel torque" at the top?

Bernardo,

What kind of dyno did they test it on? I've seen a lot of people on a dynapack with the 3.12 pulley putting out 380+whp which equates to 447 Crank HP. What other mods do you have?

old car

ive had it since late 02, its an 03. has 42000 miles. dont remember the dyno name, sorry. the only things i have done to it are 1/2" motordyne spacer, kinetix high flow cats and a borla true dual. the car feels great on the streets, it pulls hard as i said earlier. i am completely satisfied with it at the time, maybe aps twin is in the near future if i get too bored, but dont have the funds to build it yet. anyone have #'s with their vortch, fly or wheel. thanks

Let me set this thread straight...one, Shawn Churches DynoPack machine does NOT inflate the numbers. The numbers are higher than dyno #'s because the rear wheels are removed to hook up to the dynaPack. That loss of wheel inertia is the reason the #'s are inflated. Second, the graph says "flywheel torque" but that's not accurate. NO DYNO can measure flywheel torque/hp unless it's connected directly to the flywheel. This was a text screw up that Shawn's been trying to have removed for a while. My G made 388hp/328tq on his dynapack with a stock Vortech setup (see attached images of dynos)...those numbers are not RWHP (as in rear wheel horse power), but rather RAHP (rear axle horse power) ...any other questions? Ask, but don't make uneducated comments.
