this is the second winter i'm driving daily in my x with the stillen sc. and every day when it's cold the car is squeking like crazy when first started. it goes away after a minute or so but it's annoying. does anyone else experience this problem and if so what do you do to fix it.

 

i have the same problem..... it has something to do with the belt....it needs to be readjusted......

 

the belt is fine. it only happens when it's cold outside and goes away after a few minutes. i think it's the pulley itself. i tightened it on a few occasions and the noise is not as bad but it comes back. during the summer i have no problems at all.

 

yup, ive had this problem a few months ago. I took it back to stillen and they tightened the belt for me and now the belt doesnt sqeak anymore. I think all you can do is tighten the belt

 

i guess i'll have to wait for better weather.

 

also check the power steering belt i have this problem about every 8 or 9 months,just retighten and your fine.
