I have an issue, need ideas
Ok guys so this is my issue. My car is twin turbod and the motor is built. I sent it to Speed Force Racing to get all my work done. They finished everything on the car and they were getting ready to start it when it ran like SHi*. They spent almost a week looking for the problem and couldnt find it. They connected the car onto a snap on tools device and it said that crank sensor was the problem.
We ordered a new crank sensor and the car ran but when he went to test drive the thing, the car died out after just going not even 20 feet! So now with the limited diagnostic tools, the owner called me and we decided to take it to Mossy Nissan b/c their a little mod friendly. We took it down and their techs said it was gonna be an hour but then they raised it on us and said they needed more time b/c they couldnt figure it out either. So far, im paying Mossy about $300 to diagnose the car and see whats wrong.
Issue: I still have 2,000 miles remaining on my warranty. Even though my warranty was void for the engine, everything else not affected by performance parts is still in effect(Ive gotten a few things switched out by warranty.) Since it is at Mossy and their checking what the problem is, should I pay if they ask more or tell them that to check if its a factory problem first b/c if it is, its covered?
I spoke with the Infiniti dealership like 2 miles from there and their service guy told me to take it to him, they would charge me $85 just to diagnose off the bat and they would determine if its covered or not. Out of all this, I may have to get a new ECU. Infiniti im hoping will cover the ECU b/c my car is infiniti but can Mossy Nissan cover my parts too?
Its been at Mossy since Monday so I dont know if I should just keep it @ mossy or yank it out and take it to Infiniti?? Either way im still gonna have to pay $300 to Mossy Nissan and the infiniti dealer is not so mod friendly but we put ECU and Injectors back to stock..... PLEASE HELP !!!!

Not sure what year your car is. There was a recall on the crankshaft postion sensor. http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...callsearch.cfm search for 03V455000
Most piggy back systems tie to that sensor. I think there was a shielding problem or something a while back.
