So I got the F/I itch again. (vortech)
I've done the whole bolt on thing. And honestly these forums have ruined me by way of wanting more speed lol...
Anyway. I've been going through this forum like a hawk, im trying to get as much information as possible so I don't do something stupid or wrong and can make an informed choice.
Vortech to me as always seem the best preforming on a non-built engine, and a good price for an F/I choice. I'm hoping to find a tuner kit for about Three grand (there is one in the 350z forums going for that now).
The bolt-ons I have now include
Stillen Highflow and ztube
Kintex V4 plenum
Borla headers
Crawford HFC
Injen SES True Duel.
^ Is there any of that I should replace or just replace with a stock part?
I'm looking to get bigger injectors, and an Emanage (obviously) and return fuel system about a month or two after install. (through a valve body in there for my ***** AT system)
Anyone use Nitrous with a vortech kit? Or am I playing with fire? I REALLY don't wanna blow an engine, maybe a 50 or 75 shot would be safe?)

I was, then it died down after getting my wheels/bodykit/suspension. Vortech is one of my choices too together with TN ST, but after reading more on Stillen Stage 2/3 I'm now leaning toward it, it make sense if you're not planning to build your engine and reliability is your main concern. If your driving habit is mostly local I would consider Stillen since you get that power/tq right away and fun to drive locally (it has good power under the curve) but if you want bragging rights then Vortech is a good choice, also with Stillen it's a true Plug N Play and very easy on install, either way both kit are awesome.

I really don't want to buy a new hood for stillen tho.
I'm replacing those headers with Topspeed headers shortly.
What kind of exhaust should I put in there, some non-true duel? (something without rasp would be awesomeness)

At least you've learned how to spell Vortech right, that's the first step
Has either company come out with a kit for 05/06 6mt's yet? I've been out of the FI scene for a while..

And BeerViper is right, he can keep the plenum, headers, cats and exhaust with a Vortech setup.
evething you have now works w/ your set up, but why are you changing the headers?
i'm not a big fan of the way the injen exhaust sounds, so i would get a y-pipe and put the stock rear section back on. some have ran that set up w/ the vortech
and why do you need an emanage? the software that comes w/ the vortech is good enough. unless you wanna make more power, than go w/ utec instead.

if you read around....... your headers don't do jack on a dyno, so i would replace your headers with something else....ie crawford or alphawerks.....i choose the later b/c it's cheaper (to buy and install), your injen TD it's okay, but if you want power, go to 3" instead, and with the Vortech.... get bigger injectors, and new pulleys...... that should satisfy your craving for a little while until you want TT.........Good Luck!

Im pretty sure less back pressure gets you higher HP, but your boost is lower because of the lack of back pressure. Im getting my Vortech installed as we speak, I have headers, resonated TP, and Pro-1 y-pipe and exhaust, the exhasut is single 3" so that may create a little back pressure, but I read around and im 99% sure that you will make more power and with smaller PSI becuase there is no back pressure.

Naw, Less back Pressure is definitely for TT.. SC works better with some back pressure
I'm not going 3" for sure... I'm glad to see someone with injen SES with over 350RWHP So i'll stick with that... I OWN a pair of topspeed headers so ill switch out my borlas once I get a chance...
I'm going to add the pullies and injectors, and save money on the emanage... thanks... as long as I can still get a good tune.
I'm going to sit on my cash for a while and hope a great vortech deal comes out.. and jump on it right away. (hopefully one with injectors and belts =)
Bet if a good stillen or ST kit comes out, ill prolly jump on that...
I don't want a TT-- Seems to much of a risk to me.
And when I'm cranking out that kinda of horsepower... I won't care how much rasp I have
