i'd buy one. especially if they run the 3.5 vq... that would be really fast s/c'd.

edit: with a back seat!

Pfft! If you bought the G35 coupe for exclusivity then you bought the wrong car. Next time go with a manufacturer that doesn't have a "volume" brand underneath it. The trickle down effect happens in every industry including the automotive!

Just got my brochure from Nissan in the mail today. Says release date for Altima Coupe will be Summer 07.

Remember...this is going to be FWD, but still kicks the hell outta its class competitors (camry solara, accord coupe.) This is a good move for Nissan, but will cannabilize perhaps a month of two worth of G35 coupe sales. Remember, the 08 coupe should also arrive spring/summer. Sorry about the resemblance to the current coupe....but sales are sales.

I'm betting once this car appears in person, it won't look so much like a G, some people think the Altima now looks like a G sedan, but next to each other you see a huge difference. Just my .02

To people that aren't used to Nissan's, Nissan's all look the same to them. I seen articles about this altima coupe where the editor are comparing it to a 350z. From the side this looks like a G, but you can tell the back of the altima couple looks different.

IMO I'm tired of seeing this body style.

You've got to be kidding me. Let's see, Nissan just relocated to Tennessee, corporate headquarters is now only about 8 hours from my house, likely to only be a few inept guards...

if this is true they might be releasing info about it tomorrow. heres a statement about a new design they will debut at the LA auto show.

-----
Nissan will also showcase another uniquely styled, exhilarating performance-oriented vehicle, which marks Nissan’s entry into a previously untapped customer segment. Details on the second world debut vehicle are being withheld until Nissan’s press conference on November 29 at 10:00AM PST.

I read that also, and from the sound of it, I think that the other vehicle they are talking about is the Altima Coupe. Guess we will know tomorrow when they unveil the vehicles they are talking about.
