Infiniti Q Re-introducing Infiniti's flagship vehicle

Infiniti Brings Back the Q!

The Infiniti Q is on the way back! Infiniti introduces the Q concept, according to insiders, which will arrive in US dealerships in 1-2 years. With its luxurious touches inside to its streamlined design outside, its got a modern living theme that makes it a top choice for the future.

On the interior, its got a backlit instrument cluster, a color scheme that extends throughout the instrument panel, storage compartments, smart climate control using an organic grape seed filter and much more. It looks clean and emphasizes functionality, but also has the feel of home.

The exterior includes some important features such as the suicide-door configuration, making the vehicle easy to enter and exit. In addition, its fuel-efficient and includes all of the safety features that youve come to appreciate in an Infiniti.

They should have renamed it to something else. The "Q" is almost associated with "fail". A new start would be the way to go.

Thanks for the info.

No. The Q has always been its seperate class. It's there to "try" to compete with the 7-series.

Umm...WTF? Isn't that the Nissan Intima concept which was supposed to hint at the design direction for the upcoming '09 Maxima?

As for the Q cutting into M sales, the M is a midsize/executive class vehicle designed to compete with the 5-Series, E-Class, GS and A6. The Q despite its shortcomings was always intended to be a competitor to full size/luxury class vehicles such as the 7-Series, S-Class, LS and the A8.

Infiniti needs to give the M some sexy curves. It has no curves or arches around its wheel wells. Without those accents, the M is very boxy looking....especially when compared to its main rivals in the BMW 5 and the Mercedes E.

Except that the E60 looks like a$$ compared to the E39 and the E34. And while the W212 is just around the corner, with the exception of the E63 AMG, the W211 looks dated already having been on the market since '02. The M is the best looking car of the trio. Cars that are actually lookers in the Executive/Midsize Class IMO include the classy A6, techy GS and Britain's latest newcomer, the Jag XF.

Please just let the Q die in peace and bring in another flagship..... say a V8 sedan with GT-R tranny & suspension.
