Leaked shot of the Q50
Its already started, this was the first one. Without the name change it would have been a new g37
Everyone always hates the new design. Go look at the threads from when the 07 G sedan came out. Half the people hating on it now have a 2nd gen listed in their sigs. Just the way forums are.
I watched the reveal... I looked over all the pics... The initial "leaked" photos do not do the Q50 justice. I still don't understand for a business perspective what using Q/QX makes more sense than what was in place, and I hate that the Q50 3.7L V6 is rated at 328whp. However, I read that the hybrid Q50 is the same as that of the M35h, registering at a combined 354 horsepower (296-hp V-6 plus a 67-hp electric motor), which should make this one of the quickest accelerating hybrids on the market. The front fascia is seriously growing on me, though it is awfully close to the Lexus GS as I noted before. I saw a booty shot I really liked, but that C pillar is terrible.
I'm a coupe man though, so gimme that new G... err... Q...60.

So basically if they dont renew the G37 it would continue until it either has a larger engine, thus becoming G45 or G57 lol, so rather than do that, recycling on a standardized system is more efficient. LAME!
a Q40 may be a reality sooner than not to revive the "I" sedan or accede from the neglected G20. Anyone ever drive a G20?

we still have the 05 g35x and hate the current design of the g37x. too roundy for our taste. the new q is better in every way
The car looks good. The interior dash could use a little more something but overall it is good.
I think where this car disappoints me the most is the powertrain. I was expecting a new engine with direct injection, a turbo, etc. Infiniti needs to start using these technologies as even Kia has started using them!
These technologies give you more torque and more power at lower gas consumption! Then there is the 7 speed auto transmission. It is okay but at this point, I expect Infiniti to have developed at least a dual clutch transmission that would've rocked our minds.
