TT FX35 runs 12s

Here is a video of Rookies TT FX35 running 12s at calispeedway. The last run was his best of 12.7 which my friend didn't tape because it was windy out. The Stillen FX35s I think the black one was a stage 2. If you have any questions just PM Rookie about his setup. I was the G35 that was racing him in all his runs. Enjoy

yeah it is considering his weight is over 4k. I will have to remove my cat and put my DRs to beat him. Just imagine if he had the weight of a coupe or 350z and he did those runs with his custom stereo system still installed.

Thanks for posting up the video of the runs, my buddies all flaked so all the FXers that made it out were running. Broke the runs down below.

No cat, and DRs you'd take me easily. Think about doing the 3.5 final drive swap, 3.3 and the 5AT is almost a handicap once you feel the difference. The 700 kit is still in the tuning stage, this was a shake down dyno from a few weeks prior to the Cal speedway day. AFR was leaning out and the ecu kept going into limp mode on the dyno so no pulls from 2500 rpm, only way we could get a clean peak number was to start at 45-4750ish.

Viet,

Do you know the correction factor for altitude at cali speedway? I know at LACR your multiply your ET by 0.97 and your mph by 1.03. If that's the case I broke into the 12s with my 13.39 run at LACR a week ago with a 12.98 corrected.

I've been told both ways about correcting for turbo vehicles. Some say the wastegates keep your boost equivelant to sea level, others say you still correct.

Based purely on elevation Fontana is 1100ft
multiply ET by .9887
multiply trap speed by 1.0115 (rounded off)

Source of correction numbers http://www.wallaceracing.com/altitudecorrection.htm

The ones that have said no correction for elevation is done on turbo cars say correcting for atmosphere is ok.

Want to try and make the Dec 22nd Friday night test and tune at LACR. Just need my FX back.

Oh and I think the weight over the rear end from the speaker box probably helps me keep some traction.

So what did we run corrected for atmosphere? If corrected for altitude I ran a 12.8 and you a 12.5 or 12.4. Hope you have your ride back by the 22nd I might make it if not to race just to watch. The weather was cold when I went last time which is perfect for us.

This is voodoo to me and I'm not even sure if I'm doing it right, even if I'm doing it right you're gonna want an uncorrected slip which I know you can pull.

12-02-06 for Fontana http://www.wunderground.com/history/...q_statename=NA

Altitude 1100
Air temp 76f
Altimeter 30.07
Dew point 7f

Plugged into here http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_da.htm

Gets a density altitude of 2304 so correct ET x .9731 Trap mph x 1.0283

What's up man! Thank you for all your help with this project, you've been a huge help with many many aspects. Not really setting any other 1/4 mile goals, whatever happens at higher boost happens. Main goal performance wise as the JWT TT adapting started was to get into the 12s, not bad considering a FX35 is rated at a bit over 16s.

Side goal might be get into 12s on my street trim, 22s and street tires, definately want a clean 500hp+ to the wheel dyno sheet from an independant dyno like the Dyno Shop. I'm not much of a dyno person but it satisfies others on how much power this thing has gained over stock. If knocking 3.5+ seconds off stock isn't enough... Some people expect the world from heavy mods, mostly talkers and not doers.

It's been a fun ride though, we need some more car show action too

Hey you should be able to get into the 12s at LACR after the correction for the altitude and/or density. I would try that goal at LACR so that you can get more than 4 tries at it compared to calispeedway. Hope to see you friday @ LACR if your ride is finished.

It was an up and down thing. It was always either coming from the left off the foothills or head on. It was never blowing with us. Atleast the track stayed relatively clean that day.

No canopies or easy ups were in the pits that day.
