My 2007 G35 Sedan???

Here's my story:

On 2/11/06 I ordered a 2006 G35 6MT sedan with premium, navi, aero, Sirius (mud flaps, trunk mat). Three months go by and no car. So I call. Turns out the factory delayed 06 6mt sedans with navi for 3 weeks. Car gets in today - my name and address on the container so the dealer calls me up. He says the car is in but he'll need a few days to get the Sirius in and aero kit on - his bad, so my price is $100 over invoice. Not 15 minutes later he calls back and says "you're going to kill me". The car was configured exactly as I wanted it but a coupe!!!!!!!!!!! F***. My offer from the dealer for the wait and the mistake - a 2007 G35 6MT fully loaded in July at invoice price. Believable? Believe it - going to get it in writing tomorrow or Monday.

That sounds awesome! Now just make sure you definitely get that in writing and also carefully research invoice on the car. It seems odd that they'd tell you that... but get that in writing, do your research and don't accept anything less. At the very least, if they pull back from that, make them pay by dropping the price on the vehicle you ordered and have been waiting for!

Went to the dealer first thing this morning - getting a 2006 exactly as I want it on Wednesday for $34,328. One just like mine was shipped to a dealership in NJ - it got there yesterday and has 2 miles on it and is in full plastic. I had the option of waiting for the 2007 (whenever they ship) at invoice but I can't hold off that long so a 2006 G35 Sedan 6MT coming Wednesday

Believable? NO. The 2007 G35 Sedans will not be at dealers until November. Dealers will, however, be receiving 2007 M Sedans in July.

Taking my 06 in 3 days time I hope (I need a PA license since I'm moving to the state first). Can't wait til Oct/Nov for the 07 and I don't need to anyways.

Smart move. Let other people deal with the first-year bugs.
