The only time I take my G to Infiniti when it involves warranty issues. Anything else done to the car, I'll take it to Nissan. But Nissan dealership service are not that great.

i called my nissan dealer to see if they'd change out my crank pulley back to stock... i had to be forwarded up to the service manager because the service advisor wasn't familiar with the engine in the g35, 'infiniti and nissan are both owned by nissan, but the parts aren't related. it's like a corvette owner taking it to a caddy dealer for work.' - dumbass.
anyway, service manager said to bring it down and he'll see what we need to change it out. i mentioned i already had the pulley, and the belts. i asked him if they had ever changed out a pulley on a z, he said, yes, but nissans and infiniti parts are not the same. i ended up taking it back to an infiniti dealer, who charged me for 2 hours of labor.

The only oil I've had to add in 28600 miles.
I must have got rushed through (even though I booked well in advance) durning the 60,000KM service. When I got home after the 120KM I retorqued the wheels. All 20 of the nuts were loose. The way I understand it, it's normal for a couple to be slightly loose in the first 100KM but all of them?

Edit: I should clarify that it was a Infiniti/Nissan dealer that did the work. Not just a Nissan dealer or anything. It was Ericksen Infiniti Nissan in Edmonton.

holy crap! the same thing happened to me. i drove home from the infiniti dealer a few months back, before i went on vacation. i decided it was time to repaint my brakes. i started to get the lug wrench ready and loosen the lug nuts, and then 'whoa!' - four out of five on each wheel are already loose. i'm not talking finger loose so you can just take them off - i'm talking about almost falling off by a couple of threads loose. and that's just from the drive home (70 miles).

on the drive home, i was thinking,'man that's quite a vibration i've developed. it shouldn't be time for an alignment yet.'

Not true, at least here in Canada. I had brake work done on my G last summer under warranty at my local Nissan dealership. The closest Infiniti dealership to me is 4 hours, so I have been going to my Nissan dealership for the last 3 years without troubles.

I'm glad that this thread was started. I would have never thought to have taken my G to Nissan for service. Not only is the service significantly cheaper, they are going to do the "premium service" for $50, it's also 30 miles closer.

My first service the Infinti dealership where I bought my G wanted $50-$60. I called the Nissan dealership near me and they comp'd me the service, which I thought was pretty amazing since I didn't even buy the car there. My commuter car is a 03 Nissan Altima although I never use the Nissan dealership for service. I've only used my own mechanics and saved all my receipts for warranty purposes. A month after my service on my G, I had the check engine light go on in my Altima, took it to the same Nissan dealership and they fix it under warranty. A software computer issue and a bad coil were the problems.
