5AT transmissions

Need some info. It seems there were at least 3 versions of the 5AT between 03 and 04. I need to know if the internal components (as in the valve body) as well as the torque converter is the same as in the 350Z's. Any info on interchangability will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

im pretty sure they are... u just need to be sure which version of the tranny you have... each year pratically got some sort of new part in the tranny making it a little different... i know the 05 is different from the 03 and 04, but i think they used the same 05 tranny for the 06... i could be wrong... but thats as far as my understanding goes.

Ok, with that said, could I take a 350Z tranny (5AT) and puy it in any similar model year G? As in a 04 350Z tranny in a 03.5 G without needing additional compters or computer changes? Any ideas?

i think you can. best way to find out is to call Nissan, get part #s for transmission for each model year. if they are the same you're set, else you're gonna have to find a tech who knows if the differences matter...

No and No or I wouldn't count on it. The valve bodies and torque converters are VIN specific.
