Because they thought they're the only one's who bought a G and they're upset.
I was pretty much the same

Pretty well every day I drive it, park it or gas it up. Other drivers, pedestrians and passers by. The cleaner it is the more looks it gets.

It's because this isn't a low volume car. Most people who own these cars aren't really "car" people.

It's even worse out here in LA -- I get the very same "uppity" vibe here most of the time. Just yesterday I was stuck in traffic on the 405 trying to get onto the 101. It just so happened that I came up next to an older lady and behind a guy who were both driving coupes. She had an ob coupe like me, so I gave her a smile and the "sweet car" nod -- from the look on her face you'd've thought I'd just taken a dump on her front seat!! lol Unbelievable.... The dude was pretty cool tho' -- once we hit the 101 we diced a bit until I had to get off.

Probably true in much of the US and Canada concerning the volume. Not so where I live. Only one dealer serving 4 provinces and less than 40 coupes out the door since '03.

We only have ONE dealership for Infiniti's in the entire Portland Metro area and to my knowledge in the sate of Oregon. So... there are NOT very many of g35's around and if you have much of anything done to your coupe you DEF stand out. People compliment me several times a week at gas stations, parking lots, etc. Hilarious when someone says they've seen your car out and about before. I feel stalked

I once caught a guy posing near my car while his girlfriend took his picture. I hit the lock button and scared the **** out of him. I would have liked to see his face on the picture. LOL
