dang, the exhaust is killing my ear

dang, the exhaust is killing my ear

I just got the new exhaust system. they sounds nice. but when i sit in the car. they are so damn loud. when i step on the gas "very little" it would be so loud... its a very deep sound that even make the structures shaking... anyway to fix it? like put a cover down there... or soemthing like... sound absorbing stuff. anyone can help me out?

Well, you could try to Dynomat your car, it works to keep the music in, I don't see why it wouldn't keep the exhaust sound out a little bit.

its too loud... when i hit on my pedal from 2000 rpm to 3500 rpm.. the sounds so loud inside... it somewhat cover up the music.... from outside... its not loud... but when i was inside.. it was really loud... i can feel the ground (bottom of the car where u put ur feet at) shaking... and when i step on gas from 2k to 3.5k.... the back seats can feel vibration.... it was that loud... lol

its customized one.... i got it off other g driver... its akl something i think

but the point is... anyone knows a way to fix that problem? or the shop didnt install it right?

You have what we call "drone". If it's ugly from 2000 to 3500 and lightly on the gas pedal......... well that's it. I had put together a "custom" exhaust on my other VQ and ended up tearing the whole thing out. $500 down the drain. If you put another resonator (AKA muffler) in line under the car you can get rid of the drone. Do you have orgrinal cats? Cats to muffler are a big part of "Drone". You need the right combo. I don't know if you have a single pipe back or duals but you can find a muffler for both applications. You'll need to measure how much space you have and buy a universal muffler. Have a look at Fast Intensions system and you'll see what I mean. Good Luck

A ridiculous amount of research dollars go in to eliminating such resonances in the exhaust system.

haha, cause its too loud for me. unless u want like to buy it. LOL otherwise im thinking about to buy a universal muffler.

fast intension system.. where is that?

anyone is good with exhaust system? maybe i can take a picture of the exhaust system.. and experts can help me out on it alittle bit?
