Weird Sound

I've began to notice a weird sounding coming from what i think is the exhaust, but it only happens at around 2000rpm, in first or second gear. It sounds like some sort of rubbing but i cant figuer out where it might be from. I scheduled a service for next wednesday. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've heard of some resonance coming from exhausts, and if your problem is rpm specific, then I'd suspect that.
Would be easy to find if the g is up on a drive-on lift .

So, I go to Kings Infiniti (NY) today, and i take a ride with the mechanic to show him the noise and when we get back to the dealership he puts it up on the lift and finds a plastic bag wraped around the rear axle. He takes the bag off, goes for a ride and says that the sound is gone. I get in my car and 30 seconds later i hear it again.
The guy gets in the car again and i show it to him again. On the lift they couldnt find the sound so two mechanics take it for a ride.
Ten min later they come back, tell me that they are ordering a brand new muffler to come back in a few days.

It could be that the muffler is hitting something. Probably the rubber holders or connection point. Hope the new muffler takes care of the problem.

It is a metal vibrating noise, but its very specific: 2000Rpm 2nd gear more evident with the Ac on, Stupid retards thinking its a plastic bag still amazes me.

Yeah I have the exact same thing in my AT Coupe. It's slight and barely noticable but it's one of those things that porbably get worse over time. Certainly not something that should be happening to a $40K car with 5k miles on it.
Usually it's the cat rattling in the tunnel against the heatshield. I'm putting an aftermarket exhaust in so i'm going to see if that cures it.

only way the heatshield would start to rattle is if something hit it when you're driving

I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE!!!

Ok, I'll stop screaming now

It’s coming from the rear of the exhaust, at 2k rpm. Once the
exhausts warms it goes away. It’s a resonance in the exhaust.
I had this like 6 months ago @ 3k rpm. then it went away. Now I have it again @ 2k rpm

Wow, i thought i was the only one. If it keeps up I'll bring it in.
