im new to this board and i have absolutely no idea about which rims i should get. my preference however is going with the white on white look (i just like it) with more sportier rims. i posted a link to a pic of what style i like. do any of you have any recommendations for white rims that would look nice?

those are nice rims but i really cant see them in white

IMHO if you get white on white the whites have to match and you would have a touch time finding a matching white..

ivory pearl has so many options that look great..bronze..black w/ polished lip..gunmetal..silver..you can choose from almost anything

my personal favorites for IP are bronze and black

 

yeah black looks really good on IP, but someone put white wheels on their IP coupe and it came out lookin really good too

 

White rims on a white car went away in the late
80's. The rim choices in the 21st century are vast
and will look way better than anything white. Black
rims on an IP G35 have long been over done. That
trend has faded thank God. One of my favorite Gs
in my area is IP with GT-7s done in a "light" gold.
It's amazing how those wheels show off the IP G,
kinda makes your socks go up and down......

I'm soooo sorry, I tend to forget that the rest of the
country is at least 20 yrs behind Calif. when it comes
to style and knowledge of what look good!

sneaky- I think white on white looks good if done properly. Since you want something sporty, maybe try Work Meister S1 3-piece in white. Status Auto just did this setup for a member here... joediego ... I think. Other wheels that look good are Volk TE37's and CE28N's. If you want to be totally different, get some Volk 2-piece rims special ordered in white such as SF-Winnings. I've got the Winnings in Gold, but now that I think about it, the white with the polished lip would look pretty good. Just search around a bit more. Take your time and pick some rims that you can live with.

There is a IP on this forum with white work meister s1's. Don't know if you want to spend the money to get those or not. I agree white on white went out of style a long time ago, reminds me of the time when everyone tried to do white on white with volk te37s lol. But the white on white IP with works looks pretty clean.

 

Steel rims can be found in white I think. But I don't think many of those could be considered sporty.

I think gold rims would look great with a white car. Never seen them on a G35 though. When I wanted an STi, I was going to make sure I got a white one with gold rims.
