What is the best winter oil to use

What is the best winter oil to use

Im getting an 07, becuase it will becoming out in the fall/winter after i change the oil at 300 and 1200 miles for break-in period, i was wonder what is the best oil to put in for winter's next 3-5 k miles, also any suggestions on oil filter, or just stick with oem, im willing to spend a little cash, thanks.


side note i did a search, i just need help pleaseee

I would just go with a good synthetic... I think they have better viscosity stability over a wider range of temperatures. Will you be parking outside?

As for the filter, I would stick with OEM. I'm not sure if they'll be using the same filter on the '07 but the 03-06 models have tiny filters, and there's an alternate OEM filter that is slightly larger that I use.

All Nissans and Infinitis that I've had in the last few years have been 5W30. I'd stick with that (year round).
You might want to wait until the second o/change to switch to synthetic to give the engine a chance to break in properly, but many don't bother.

Agreed. Mobil 1 always works well for me, now on my second VQ3.5. Even seems to help w/ the gas milage.
