Hmm... radar/laser detector/protection...

Well, I've never owned any detector, let alone lasar jammer before. But last night, I decided to look into it. I came across a good, hidden detector, but it's $450. The jammer, considered the best right now apparently (Blinder) costs $350.

So, here's my problem. I'm already struggling trying to get enough $$ together to do the modifications I want. I've only recieved 1 ticket (*knock knock*) so far, but I've been lucky more times than I can count.

Should I go for this setup, or save for the mods I really want?

save for the mods you want and buy the radar detector when your car is fast

lol mods are so much more fun..you shouldnt be speeding anyway! lol

and if im not mistaken jammers are illegal..

also, ive heard nothing but good from the valentine 1 - seems to me that everyone thinks this is top of the line

Man, I'm in the same boat. I just got a G and I want to get mods, but radar detectors MUST be the first thing to get. Laser Jammer, I think would only be well, perfect in conjunction with a good radar detector. Laser, is used quite a bit, but radar is still used frequently. The second link you got, that Bel, well I think Valentine and Passport are the way to go. Passport is basically the Valentine without the arrows. Ppl fight about the two all day, but they are both top of the line. I plan on getting a Passport as soon as a good one pops up on ebay... good luck

Yeah I just ordered the Passport Zr-7 with shifters off eBay for $640 with shipping. It's a lot of money, but with my insurance the way it is, stopping one ticket will almost pay for itself. And considering it retails for $1500, I think I got a decent deal for the whole package since it is both a radar detector and laser jammer.

Nah, it's more like $80 through squaretrade as I had just done it, at least that is for the zr7 with shifters, but it's a three year warranty, so considering how much you save, it is still more than worth it to buy through eBay. Now you can get warranties for just about anything on there through one third party or another, so I still don't get why people hate on eBay. Unless you just love paying full retail.
