Looking at Used G35s - PLEASE HELP!!!
I have been in the market for a G35 sedan.
I am currently looking at one with the following:
- G35 Sedan
- Sports Suspension
- Moonroof
- Leather
- Heated dual power seats
- Wood trim
- 62,000 miles
I've used KBB, Edmunds, and NADA to get an idea on price, so with that said, I have two questions:
1.) What is the going price for this setup (is the '07 body refresh a factor?)
2.) Anything I should take note of when I go take a look at the car?
Thanks in advance!

1.) Depends if you are you buying from a private seller or dealership. Also, you didn't mention what year the vehicle you referenced is. The '07 refresh is a factor but not a huge one, especially since you seem to be looking at relatively older models (considering the 62k mileage)
2.) If you're buying from a private seller, make sure the guy can provide you with receipts of work done to the car, all the sets of keys, and a valid title (i.e. make sure there is no outstanding lien on the car by Infiniti Financial, a bank, etc.). Also, pull a carfax report (although keep in mind that many accidents and work shop repairs go unreported). Vehicle-wise, you want to make sure of any obvious scratches, dings, dents, etc. Make sure everything on the inside is working properly (radio, A/C, lights, power seats, moonroof, etc.) and that the vehicle has passed the latest state safety and emissions tests (you'll want the documentation for this). If it's a private seller, many (if not all) states will require that the vehicle pass a safety inspection test prior to sale anyway. It's important to make sure all the features of the car are working since it's slightly aged (assuming 20k=1yr for a commuter car). You can probably worry a little less if it's from a dealership, but you'll definitely still want to check everything.
Oh, and make sure they still have the spare tire in the trunk. Almost missed checking that when i bought my '04 used.

Good catch... it's for an '03, and it is a private seller.
I spoke to the lady selling it, and she says it was purchased as a certified pre-owned with 40k miles, and that the car has the remaining balance of Infiniti's 7-year 100k mile extended warranty.
Thankfully, here in FL, emissions is no longer required, but I'll be sure to run a Carfax to see if everything checks out.
Thanks for the tips so far!

Make sure you get documentation for EVERYTHING, including this claim regarding the extended warranty. If you are seriously planning to go through the used route, research every step of what is required from verifying the validity of your seller's claims, securing your loan if needed (another process in and of itself), acquiring the title, to registering your new G. I just purchased my used '04 from a private seller not too long ago and writing down each step ahead of time saved me a lot of potential trouble from bottlenecks like forgetting a required document, etc. But in the end, you are shaving off several thousand that would end up in the dealer's pocket and come out with a big grin on your face.
I think purchasing a used car is a good experience. It's kind of "Round 1" of the amount of care you put into your vehicle :-D Good luck!

Well, I just came back from taking a look at the car.
It has a ding or two, some minor surface scratches, but the interior is peachy. One thing I noticed is that the engine bay was FILTHY!!!! With this dirty, sandly looking soot all over the engine covers which scared me a bit.
The Carfax came back clear.
How much would this car depreciate in the next 2-3 years?
