New 335c

Just for fun, I just priced out my own 335 coupe on the internet. It came to a whopping $50,000. That included the sport package, premium package and navigation. Heated seats were $500 (wow). I even left off satellite radio and other options. There is just no price comparison between our cars. I couldn't afford a 335c if I wanted one.

Hey,
I actualy made the same comparison, test drove the 335 and all. Dealer quoted me $672 a month with 15k per year for a lease! Got my brand new g coupe for about $200 less a month. The 335 was a nicer car though, better finish and more power.

Well, honestly there really isn't much comparison at all in any category. Don't get me wrong, I love the G and it's value is awesome! However, the 335i coupe is a superior automobile, which is why it costs so much. Now, whether that cost is worth the bump in quality, performance, luxury, etc... is another discussion.

It's kind of like when people come on the board and say they are deciding between a G and an M3. I mean, come on. That is a no-brainer! If you are considering an M3, then you can afford it and might as well get one.

Thats because your comparing a 1 month old car (335) with an almost 5 year old car (G35).

Compare the 2007 335c with the 2008 G35... that makes better sense.

No doubt that the 335 is an awesome car. I did not like the 3 series sedan styling but they did a great job with the coupe. A lot of the cost in a BMW at retail is the free maintenance. A friend in the business calculated that they could lower the price but $5-7,000 by doing away with free maintenance. It will be interesting to see if AUDI drops prices now that they are discontinuing free maintnenace on the 07 models.
