I cant believe you guys still believe the dealers. We all know they dont know crap about cars... unless they wanna sell it.
If a G convertible ever came out... I would be very disappointed. It might even look as ugly as the Z convertibles.
A G convertible would just ruin the lines of the car.

A salesman told me the same thing...I'll believe it when I see it. I dont see it as a very good option though unless its being marketed towards women and in that case just get a bmw 3 series convertible.
Well, I already told you folks that there is a G35 Vert and in a Hardtop. However, no I don't have any dates as to when it will actually be released, as they are working out the structual integrity and all. As to where I got the info? Well, if I told you...then it wouldn't be any fun
Let's just say, I'm in that industry to know

For those who don't like the vert, there's the obvious option of not getting the vert.
But for those who loves there will be no option if Infiniti doesn't make one.
Infiniti will make verts because there are people who loves it and wants it.
I don't see any harm in making a G vert.
Personally I don't think it would look bad with the top down. But I definitely prefer a Hard top vert.
I agree that with the soft top vert, it will ruin the lines. But not with hard top.

ack, I don't want to see a convertible G35 coupe. no way that's gonna ruin the beauty of the car. It looks so slick the way it is, and with the 2008 model coming out even better. But a convertible? hell no, just keep it the way it is (begs to Nissan)
I don't know why this would be so hard to believe. I've felt that a convertible was inevitable since the '04 model was out.
Yes, it will add weight and might not look as nice with the top down... ...but that's almost always the case, isn't it?
The G coupe is a perfect candidate, in the sense that it looks great and will attract people on it's looks alone. When you have a car like that, of course some of those people will be interested in a convertible. It doesn't really matter the effect it has on performance, as the the drop-top will be an important option to many of these folks. Who can't see some bimbo talking on the phone, windows up, A/C on and top down in an IP coupe?
And just as those care most about the drop-top, most of us will shun the option as the performance-killer it is. That being the case, what does it matter if a convertible G coupe becomes available, be it soft- or hard-top?
