I have an '06 sedan with the pressure sensors. I was filling up my tire the other day and I looked away and heard a snap. The valve stem broke in half and all the air started coming out. Luckily there was a GoodYear tire place a couple stores down and I got to it before all the air came out.

I just had them put on a regular valve stem until i can get the sensor replaced at the dealer, but WTF?

Anyone else had these break?

 

Wow, that's odd. I haven't heard of any breaking.....Might have been a manufacturing flaw.....
Warranty should cover the replacement.....

Yeah, warranty better replace it since it broke while I was putting air in, it was no fault of mine. I just thought it was very, very strange for a metal valve stem to break! I could possibly understand if it was cold out, and some force was put on it, but Im in FL and at the time it was in the 70s.
