Feeler: G35 RHD Brake Reservoir Cover
Hey guys,
Just thought I'd start an interest thread to see the demand on this board for an item that is currently in the works of being created and can be made a reality with your interest and demand. I know that many members on this board here have been buying the JDM RHD Battery Covers from the Japanese Nissan Skyline coupes and modifying them to fit our cars to cover the brake reservoir opening. However what has always bugged me about them is the cost for one being $40-$50! That is an outrageous price! Second is that the cover doesn't fit 100% and needs to be modified. Lastly is the fact that the cover still says "BATTERY" and not "BRAKE RESERVOIR" or "BRAKE FLUID" for thats not what's really under the cover. Call me picky and @nal, but I'm sure that there are many members on this board with the very same feelings. I know that there have been a few threads on here such as "chicklet" making premodified ones for members here but has quite a long waiting list because she isn't able to get enough battery covers and a the MIA status from Chad that had a groupbuy going on them too. Well with your interest, I would like to have these covers made for our cars that for one do not need any modification and is a 100% bolt on part and second a part that actually says the correct part thing of what is actaully under that panel on the cover in the same OEM font. Lastly I'd be excited to anounce that I would be able to get these made for $25!! I have attached a rendering of how the part should and will look like when complete. With your interest this part can be made a reality. I would like members of this board to reply on the list below if they would be interested in buying one. Additionally please note next to your name what words you would like to be on the cover: Brake Fluid or Brake Reservoir. The more popular one will be chosen. If there is enough interest I will have a prototype made ASAP and once all quality and fitment issues are approved it will go into full production. I assure you that this part will be identical in quality and feel as the OEM part itself. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to PM me!
