Homelink (Rearview mirror) failure

Recently, my homelink (rearview mirror) started failing. It's working sporadically (and as time goes on, it's working even less frequently).

If you notice, the green light by the buttons stays green until you press on one of the programmed buttons. If programmed, the green light flashes red. If it's not programmed, it just glows red (instead of green) and doesn't flash.

My failure is that when I press on the programmed button, it stays green. Even when I press the non-programmed buttons, it stays green. Now, I know it's still programmed because when it decides to work, it opens my garage door and the light flashes as I described above.

Anyone have any similar problems? Fixes? I'd like to see if others are having similar problems. I get nervous thhinking about having the dealer techs go in my car and take things apart. They're so careless.
