My car doesn't let me do that. It beats me into submission and makes me push it harder. I swear, it's the car, not me.....

I typically drive my 6MT like a bat out of hell, which gives me crap gas mileage. But twice a week I drive from Philly to Baltimore and back. I've gotten my fair share of tickets during these trips, so I have no choice but to do the speed limit now. So I play a little game called "what is the best mpg I can get?" (all highway driving, low rpm accelerations, neutral while going down hill, etc) The best I've been able to get is 29 mpg over a 180 mile stretch. Usually I can't get any better then 26 or 27 mpg on those trips. If you baby the 6mt, you can get some good mpg out of her!

The best I got 425 miles on full tank and that's about 75% on Freeway.
If I do a lot of street driving then it comes down to 350-370 miles per tank of gas.

^^Used to do that too, best I could do was 28.6 according to the Nav. I usually get around 21-22 like most people here with mixed driving and a few sprints. I according to the NAV somewhere around 70 mph on the flat seems to produce the best milage at a reasonable speed. I try to shift as soon as possible without bogging or slowing down traffic. In reality I usually end up doing 80ish in the fast lane after I get fed up with driving like a nanny. Its amazing how fast your milage drops when you only speed up another 5mph.

I can only get about 250 miles on a full tank. Sucks, but I didn't get this car for awesome gas mileage. If I wanted that, I'd be driving around in a hybrid.
