That would fall under not telling the whole story . I considered track events as well.

I'm telling the whole story... I don't floor it constantly, in fact sometimes I drove like an old person. No matter what, I get the same crappy mileage: 9mpg in the city and 18-20 on the highway. I have brand new spark plugs, change oil regularly and had a TechnoSquare reflash done after my mods. Yet, TTrank with a twin turbo setup gets better mileage than me. Sometimes, I wanna sell this car... but it's so sexyyy.

Talking

Just got back from a weekend at vegas 615 mile round trip I got an average of 26.5 mpg. Very happy considering that this included an hour of traffic and many jumps up to 85-90 to pass people on the road. Overall I sped the whole way there and back and managed a pretty good mpg.

I had an 04 coupe 6MT with a K&N Typhoon CAI and regularly got 23mpg with 60% city and 40% hwy driving. I didn't drive like grandma either because I would love to hear the CAI at full throttle.

Now I have 06 coupe 6MT and at best am averaging 21mpg with 70% hwy and 30% city (new job is about 30 miles away and all freeway). I only have 5k miles on the car, so hopefully it will get better once broken in.

with the 04 i would get at least 350 miles before gas light turned on, but now with 06 it lights up around 330.

2005 coupe...all stock. Filled the tank all the way until it overflowed.
Drove from Vegas to LA and then to work and back. 387 miles and I couldve pushed it about another 30. It probably helped that my wife was driving lol.

Just a heads up, if the tank is "overflowing" when you fill then you probably have a clogged EVAP tube, the same one that's part of that service/recall notice.

No, I intentionally kept pumping until it overflowed. That way I know its an actual "full tank".

I definitely don't recommend doing that especially on a system that has a known issue with the EVAP tube. While I've never actually seen it happen it's possible to saturate the EVAP canister by getting raw fuel into it from overfilling however is is somewhat UNLIKELY because of the air reservoir up high on the tank where the EVAP tube hooks up it would still be possible if the system purged while you were taking off from a stoplight while the fuel was sloshed to the back of the tank because it CAN get past that upper baffle if it's overfilled.
