Remote Starter Receivers???
Alarm System Antennas???
Hey guys,
For those with remote starters, I was wondering where you guys place the receiver antennas? ie where on the windshield? I have the Compustar 2W8000FMR with the receiver on the top left of the windshield (unfortunately under the tint strip) positioned horizontally. It's not visible from the outside because it's under the tint, but it suffers in reception. I had initally asked the installer to place the receiver unit under the tint near my rear view mirror with the antenna vertically down (and not under the tint) but he said that a vertical position is worse. Anyone else know about this?
Anyways, just wanted to know where everyone else places theirs for maximum reception. Thanks.

I think that your thread title may be keeping people from looking at this thread. Alarm System Antenna Location may get more responses.
If I were you I would send a PM to ttrank, I know he has one of these systems. Others do to, but I'm not sure who.
