The good news it that it will come out easily with some claybar.

Did you report it to the school? I'm not sure I would..it might invoke further retaliation. Sometimes the best way to deal with a bully (or in this case, vandal) is to ignore them, and let it die. They'll get over themselves and leave you alone I hope.

 

I just read something about WD-40 taking spraypaint off of cars. Maybe you can try that.

So what solution did you end up using and did it work? Nice to know for future references, hoping that I won't need it.

 

i simply claybarred it and used a tiny bit of wd-40 and used meguires gold class wax. worked like a charm. Still cant find out who the kid was. Punk ***.

 

Since they know you and your car, that should limit the search to people that you know. Take pics of the writing and keep it with you. Peer at friends/aquaintances writing. You should be able to limit it to male/female also. Further reducing the search.

 

OMFG reading what happened to you pisses me off! I'd never experienced racism until I moved here for college (I'm originally from Hawaii). I've had people say $h!t to my face (thinking it was funny) but never had anything done to my cars. I'm not the type that's super sensitive about crap like that, but it's not funny if you're saying it to me and I don't even know you, ya know?

Anyway, what I was thinking was that since there's no real way of knowing how much damage you could potentially be doing to your paint by trying to do it yourself, I'd suggest taking it to a professional detail shop or to the dealership to get it out. That way, if they do something that messes up your paint, you can go back and have them pay to get it painted or repaired! You do it yourself, you're outta luck. I dunno, that's just me, though. Good luck w/ that. You'll have to let us know how it turned out. *HUGS*

Did you make a police report? It is only vandalism, but would be considered a hate crime. Most places have pretty stiff penalties for hate crimes . . .
