G35 Sedan Glove Box Question

I have a 2006 G35 Sedan. I asked my dealer (worst on the planet) to fix the gap at the top that allowed the light to come through and in the process they scratched it. As such, they replaced the entire unit. The light is gone but at the expense that the box does not sit flush with the rest of the dash now. My question is this. Since the car has they keyless entry system, is there supposed to be anything in the hole next to the handle for the gloce box? I am talking about the hole where a key tumbler would normally be. Mine is just a deep hole with nothing in it and I am not sure if this is normal or not. Anyone? Thanks!

My '05 has a keyed tumbler there. I believe the dealership was probably supposed to swap it out of your old glove compartment assembly. I know that my Q45's replacement glove compartment came that way... I also have the keyless, transponder system - but the lock is still there for the glove compartment. Looks like another trip to the dealership!
