i have an 06 5at.

one time i loss my debit card and had no cash - thus no money for gas.

so while i had to wait for my bank to send me a new credit card, i had to drive as conservatively as possible.

as a result, i got 403 miles to the tank (forgot how many gallons i filled up).

now i'm averaging ~260-275 at most

Last summer driving from Atlanta to St. Augustine, FL I saw 29.8mpg in my 03 5AT, fully loaded trunk, wife, and kid. I believe it was something like 460 mi on 15.5 gal fill up. Quite impressive. From Kansas City to Atlanta and back, I averaged about 28mpg. Around town in 50/50 driving, I only see about 320 miles for every 16 gallon full up (20mpg).

That is the highest MPG I have ever heard of for a G35. Either you had a 30 MPH tailwind, or you guys must have VERY high BTU content gasoline down there in the South. We're lucky to get 24 MPG highway with the oxygenated stuff over on the west coast. I have hit it a few times, but really rare. Most miles per tank for me was about 420 and it was a bit over 17 gallons to top off.

a lot more just look up acetone in google.. or whatevers..

but yah.. I want to try it.... but its been proven wrong in myth busters..

So far from what i've read
PROS : around 20% increase in mpg
apparently more horsepower..
longer engine life..

CONS : erm pwns paint..so dont spill..
and have to keep in a cool dry place! haha
If you use too much it might make it worse on your mpg..

90+ degree weather, A/C on the whole way. Octane was 93 in GA and FL. The whole trip is basically flat going from 1200' in Atlanta to sea level in Jacksonville. Achieving nearly 30mpgs was the highest I've ever seen with the car. Here in Kansas City I can only get 92 at select stations otherwise it's strictly 91. In typical 100% highway driving in Kansas/Missouri where there are more hills than Atlanta, I usually see right around 27mpg in the warmer months and in the cooler months when the oygenated fuels are in effect and cold starts are common, mpgs usually take a solid 15% drop and I'll see 24mpg in highway driving.

MPG ranges wildly with this car depending on conditions, driving type, and driving style. If I drive aggressively and it's mostly city, I get 18. In the winter, it can be as bad as 16. If I drive more normally, I can tack on an additional 2mpg. With highway driving and cruise control at 75mph, the increase in mpgs is dramatic. These 5ATs drink gas around town because of the high stall TC and deep gearing. The 6MT get crappy mpgs because most guys tend to rev them to 3000-4000rpms consistently.

Not only does it pwns paint, pure reagent acetone pwns you. Get it in your eyes or breathe enough of it, and you will be a different person guaranteed!

Stay away from all that Xylene, toluene, acetone crap. Very toxic and volatile (high vapor pressure). One little static spark can turn you into the elephant man.

Nail polish remover is very dilute with flowery fragrance for the girlies. Go ahead and mess around with pure acetone. Have fun.

Yup...your results about spot on with mine with the crappy west coast 91 year-round oxygenated (special CA formulated so they can price gouge ) stuff.
Cruisin at 80-85 I5 NorCal to SoCal basically flat freeway, my puter est mpg hovers around 24.6-24.9mpg. Might get higher mpg if I were to slow down and cruise 70-75mph on that I5 stretch and with lower windy days across central Cali.

I don't think 300 will be a problem this go around

I got this by slowing down to 65, which was a pain in the a$$. About 220 of this is highway miles on the I15. The rest of this tank will be all city driving.
