Need a little help

Having a little trouble with my 04 g35. Today on the way to work it was raining like a biotch, Streets were flooded and I drove through some water about 6 inces deep. I got scared b/c some spots were deeper than others, so I parked in a parking lot and reved the engine a couple of times to make sure no water got into the exhaust, then I cut everything off and waited for about a hour for the rain to stop and water to go down.. During the meantime I cranked the motor once within that hour wait and let it run for about 5 minutes with no problem. Then I finally decided to leave, car cranked up fine and everything, got out of the parking lot and gave it some gas and it bogs dow at 2500rpm. The car idles fine and rides fine, but it wont go past 2500rpm. I can drive it fine below that. Motor doesnt miss or anything. I am at work right now trying to brainstorm of possible cause. I also have a vortech s/c, Could it be a possible moisture from water got into teh Mass air flow sensor. No light or other indicator are on. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!!

whats up John... Damn you got a vortech SC? you should have no problem pushin those 20's then, sorry to hear about your car man, i really don't know what to tell you, have you try reseting your computer by disconnecting the negative of your battery and letting the car reset itself for atleast 15-20 mins? GL with it.

Yea, I got off of work and it started fine, It reved past 2500, so what do I do, I punch it and hit the rev limiter and now it wont pass 2500rpm again and now the SES light is on. I could only guess water got in through the bypass valve, I'll take everything apart tomorrow and clean out the water.

Might have went into limp mode. If it detects any kind of water starting to be sucked in it panics and goes into limp mode...thats what mine did. Then i couldnt go past 2500 rpms, but could rev the engine to 5000 easy.

Yea it was all good. water got in through the bypass valve and into the intercooler, so moisture got into the MAF, I cleaned everything out yesterday and all is good now

Usually just leaving the car off for a couple of hours will fix it. As long as everything is back to normal when the car starts back up it will run fine.
