Destination charge - Does this vary by state?

I just purchased a brand new G35X with premium, navi, tech, & wood. Yeah!!!

Now here is my question:

Do dealers in select states charge a destination charge? On my invoice I do not have a line item for a destination charge. Here is breakdown of my invoice:

Price of Unit: $37,500.00 (Excluding destination I paid about $600 over invoice)
Registration: $36.00
Title Fee: $50.00
Mass. Sales Tax: $1977.35
Mass State Inspection: $29.00
Title Preparation: $5.00
Docs Preparation: $259.00

According to one of the on-line car places my invoice should have been $37,834, but this includes $750 in destination charges.

The destination charge is the same in every state. It doesn't matter if the assembly plant is a mile away or across the Pacific. Destination is often included in the price, as it is on the window sticker.

Unlike other parts of a car's price, 100% of the destination charge goes to the manufacturer, none to the dealer.

My site (truedelta.com) shows the invoice price on your car as $36,935, including a $715 destination charge but not including dealer-added fees like DOC and advertising. So, as you state, you paid about $600 over invoice (invoice includes destination). Sounds good to me.
