Long Term Clutch Issues?

For those of you who've had a 6MT for a while now and drive them as they "should" be driven how much abuse can the clutch on these cars take? I'm currently in the market and trying to cover all aspects of the car so I"m as knowledgeable as possible.

I've already learned an infinite (pun intended) amount of knowledge from you folks on this site.

And if there's any existing issues from any particular model of year that I should be wary of when looking please enlighten me. So far I haven't come upon anything.

Thanks in advance!

I have my stock clutch and it is perfect I drive the car hard once in a while. I think that once you start putting more power then it can become an issue, and even if you know how to use the clutch and not abuse it then it will last you for a decent amount of time

I drive my car gently most of the time. Im still on my origial clutch for over 102,000 miles now. It still holds power fine. I do have some chatter though but no big deal.

I drive the **** out of my car. I redline it multiple times daily(mostly 2nd gear), and WOT shift 2>3 or 3>4 almost daily.

My stock clutch lasted me ~25k miles. That included over 20 dyno pulls, 3 autocross events, daily abuse, and over 125 passes down the drag strip.

Think about that. 125 passes. That stock clutch took 125 3k+ rpm clutch dumps. It took 7 grand WOT shifts 3 times per pass, for the majority of those.

25k miles is pretty bad to be honest, but pretty good for a stock setup considering the abuse to which I exposed it.
