i bought one of those smoked plate covers from discount/autozone for like $12 about 3 months ago. just got pulled over for it this morning . No ticket tho, i was courteous to the cop and it paid off. i want it back on so badly.

neat idea but seems like a waste of $. they have the smoked plate covers like jose said that allow the plate only to be read from directly behind. they're big in europe since there are tons of cameras over there. this does the same thing and if you do it in front of a cop, im sure you'll get a ticket.

 

My friend had this same effect on his front entrance door. You click the switch and it turns from frost to clear, you click it again and it goes back to frost. Its amazing when you see it in an 8 ft door with a 7 ft glass, but not so much on a license plate. Not to mention his glass was $7500 + so i wonder how much that plate cover will cost.
