Angry I need some opinions!?

I have a 06 6MT. I go to get in the car the other day and I hear what sounds like a jackhammer coming from inside my engine. I pull over, get out and make sure i'm not dragging something and i'm not. I call my local dealer (who is the only place that has EVER touched my car) and tell them about the noise. I bring it in and they indicate to me that the oil level was abnormally low. WTF!!! My car, mind you, as less than 18k on it and is garage kept. So..here is my reasoning to explain a oil loss

1.) The car is leaking - Which is not the case because my garage floor doesn't have a drop of oil. Plus the dealer can't see signs of it leaking
2.) The engine is burning the oil - Still a possibility, however, i think I would see smoke if it is burning at the rate which my oil was low.
3.) MY FAVORITE - The Monkeys at the dealer didn't put enough damn oil in it last time they serviced it.

I'm leaning hard towards 3 at this point but the dealership has told me to bring it back to them every 1k for a "oil consumption test" If they determine that the engine is burning oil at a substantial rate they will replace my motor! WTF!!

SO getting to the issue here...i'm not an idiot when it comes to cars and I realize for me to burn enough oil for my car to begin having metal on metal noise that I should be bellowing smoke when I drive it!! This is not the case at all! No smoke whatsoever, not even the burning oil smell.

I think this "consumption test is going yield one result...and that is that those DumbA$$e$ didn't fill the car back up with oil. Now my dilemma...if they can't prove my engine is burning oil this means they fouled up! How reasonable is it to assume that this banging in my engine has caused some damage that will affect the down-the-road reliability of my car. That's what I need, the warranty to expire then my motor seize up.

So how reasonable is it to demand, if they cannot determine my motor is burning oil, a new motor anyway? I mean i would think I should at least be due a extended warranty or something. What do you guys think? Has anyone had similar problems?
